Pennsylvania College of Technology’s “Accelerated Learning” is at it again, and this time, the Diesel Performance Club’s 12,000-pound 1959 B-61 Mack truck advanced to the seventh-round finals of the Maple Grove Dragway’s 2025 Keystone Truckin’ Nationals. Narrowly missing the top prize by a margin of only .079 seconds, the crew has now celebrated two back-to-back years of success for a project 25 years in the making.

A black-tie gala with industry leaders and a tour of a popular toolmaker’s headquarters were among highlights for students in Pennsylvania College of Technology’s Construction Management Association when they were invited guests at a series of activities hosted by Associated Builders and Contractors in the Washington, D.C., area.

Paint flew and smiles grew during the annual Penn College Paint Party on the Professional Development Center lawn. Held in October instead of its original date, thanks to early-semester rain, the event combines music, neon paint and water blasters and was every bit as fun – and messy – as usual.

It was a “wild” weekend at Penn College as alumni, students, family and friends gathered to celebrate Wildcat Weekend Sept. 19-21 on campus and in the surrounding communities, woodlands and waterways.

Wildcat Wars, an early fall tradition at Penn College, returned to UPMC Field, with residence hall teams battling in kickball, dodgeball and tug-of-war. In the end, the York/Juniata team earned the win – and a year's worth of bragging rights.

Wildcat Weekend is set for Sept. 19, 20 and 21, and alumni, students, parents and friends are in for an exciting couple of days.

Nearly 350 students ventured to the recent Club & Part-Time Job Fair, where 41 student organizations and 15 local employers greeted them with a wealth of opportunities.

Cute and cuddly canines joined the Penn College effort to welcome students at Hot Dog, You’re Here! During the annual event, employees bring their furry friends to campus to interact with students.

The Office of Student Engagement held the last of nine successful New Student Orientations on Monday, welcoming incoming Wildcats to campus prior to the start of the Fall 2025 semester.

Thursday brings the first of nine New Student Orientation sessions this summer. Leading the effort to welcome incoming Wildcats, who are starting their Penn College journeys in Fall 2025, are eight orientation leaders.
