Skiing, snowboarding, camping, mountain biking, fishing, hiking – these students are having all the fun! The Penn College Outdoors Club is among new student organizations established during the 2024-25 academic year. The group aspires to explore various outdoor activities during the different seasons of the year, instructing members on new techniques related to outdoor recreation and sports, and creating an environment where students can learn skills that will enrich their lives.

Raising awareness and encouraging campus community members to register as organ donors is at the heart of the “Gift of Life College Challenge,” a project being pursued on the Penn College campus through April 28. Penn College nursing students, Wellness Committee and other partners kicked off the initiative by distributing small bags of Hershey’s Kisses and organ donor information

Penn College’s Fitness Center held a Student Member Appreciation Day. “We wanted to show our appreciation to students who regularly use the Fitness Center by rewarding them with some goodies,” said Gayle M. Kielwein, coordinator of student engagement operations. “Treats were pina colada and strawberry smoothies, various ‘healthier’ snacks, and some awesome giveaways.”

Wildcats are not shy about showing their affections – especially when it comes to food and bingo! Among the mid-February events captured by Penn College student photographer Anna E. Reed: a “Sweetheart Pajama Party” and a “Pack the Pantry” Bingo.

A “Remote Control Race Day” stirred excitement and participation on a Friday evening in the Field House. The recent gathering was hosted by two clubs: the PCT Remote Control Model Club and the IEEE Student Branch a Penn College.

Penn College students have reveled in the many engaging activities offered to kick off Spring 2025. Among the fun: “Roller Skating Night” and “Hot Dog, You’re Back!” Both were hosted in the Field House by the Office of Student Engagement.

Welding and fabrication engineering technology graduate Nate Lyon returns to Pennsylvania College of Technology to share his always-inspiring perspectives and consistent devotion to building community. In “Finding Purpose in Community,” Tomorrow Makers podcast listeners will hear about Lyon’s latest career move – teaching welding at Milton Hershey School.
