Building Construction Technology (A.A.S.)

Plan, design, and execute homes and smaller-scale commercial buildings. This associate's program pulls together specialized building construction skills and business essentials.

Concrete Science Technology (A.A.S.)

Guest lecturer discusses promise of 'smart' concrete

European research into self-monitoring and self-healing concrete was shared Wednesday evening with Penn College students in civil engineering and a variety of construction-related majors. The hourlong seminar was delivered by Andrzej Cwirzen, head of the Building Materials Research Group at Luleå University of Technology in Sweden.

Yard by cubic yard, concrete students widen sidewalks

Working under Thursday morning's plentiful sunshine and cooled by a pleasant breeze, construction students could be found in familiar circumstances: once again collaborating with General Services on outdoor improvements to the campus landscape. Three sections of Concrete Construction (BCT238) classes taught by Franklin H. Reber Jr. and Joseph F. DiBucci have been busy since the start of the fall semester, pouring new walkways in several locations.

Penn College shares in Johnson Controls’ generosity

Johnson Controls, among Pennsylvania College of Technology’s cherished Corporate Tomorrow Makers, has granted a total of $100,000 to support the institution’s heating, ventilation and air conditioning program. Penn College is one of 10 grantees in the 2023-24 cohort of Johnson Controls’ $15 million Community College Partnership Program, now in its third year of inspiring the next generation of workforce leaders.
