Pennsylvania College of Technology recently received a grant from the Pennsylvania Department of Health, through the Lycoming County Department of Public Safety, to support its second EMT-Paramedic Camp. The $2,000 grant provides about $1,500 for instructional supplies for the camp, with the remainder slated for publicity and advertising.

Two career-related events on Penn College campuses Tuesday offered mutually beneficial opportunities for employers and job-hungry students alike.

The College West Resident Assistants are at it again. Tuesday night, at the apartment complex courtyard, the Residence Life RA staff held an outdoor barbeque event: "Bring Your Own Meat!" The RAs inspired almost 50 residents to come out and enjoy a midsummer picnic/grilling atmosphere in mid-March.

A graduate of Pennsylvania College of Technology's immediate predecessor institution was honored by the Williamsport/Lycoming Chamber of Commerce at its seventh annual Education Celebration. The business honor societies of Penn College (Sigma Beta Delta) and Lycoming College (Delta Mu Delta) co-sponsored a guest speaker Barbara Hudock, from Hudock Moyer Wealth Management in Williamsport Tuesday night in the SASC Presentation Room. A "meet and greet" with refreshments was held at 6 p.m.; followed by a presentation and question-and-answer session.
