In support of a catalog documenting its 10th anniversary celebration, The Gallery at Penn College has received a $5,250 grant from a private foundation based in Albuquerque, New Mexico. The Elizabeth Firestone Graham Foundation awarded funding to support the gallery’s “Take Ten” catalog, created as part of the special anniversary exhibition running through Oct. 9.

Students weathering the first week of fall classes got back-to-back reminders to infuse their studies with occasional playtime, courtesy of the Student Activities Office. A Wildcat House Party was held Friday night on the lawn of the Thompson Professional Development Center, while Saturday brought a spirited "Campus Feud" game show to the Klump Academic Center Auditorium.

"Take Ten" Celebrating a decade of exhibiting contemporary art, The Gallery at Penn College is staging a special anniversary exhibition titled “Take Ten,” showcasing the works of 25 past exhibiting artists. “Take Ten” runs Aug. 25 through Oct. 9, with an opening reception set for 4:30 to 6:30 p.m., Tuesday, Aug. 30. A number of the exhibiting artists will be on hand for the special event.

Pennsylvania College of Technology proudly welcomed some Most Valuable Players to Williamsport on Wednesday, hosting its eighth annual picnic for the 16 teams in the Little League Baseball World Series.

New and not-so-new Penn College students ushered in the 2016-17 academic year during Welcome Weekend, the traditional lead-in to the start of the semester.

Pennsylvania College of Technology held its Summer Commencement on Saturday at the Community Arts Center in downtown Williamsport. Hashim Abbas Alfulful, of Saudi Arabia, who received a Bachelor of Science degree in plastics and polymer engineering technology, was the student speaker for the 11 a.m. ceremony.

On Wednesday morning, Pennsylvania Free Enterprise Week students participated in a quiz that took them into several buildings and labs on a circuitous path across main campus. The activity allowed campers to explore various locations, as well as interact with admissions representatives and academic school representatives, to learn more about the opportunities available at Penn College.
