More than 800 regional high school and middle school students and chapter advisers from 15 middle and senior high schools recently gathered on Pennsylvania College of Technology's main campus to compete in the Region 7 Future Business Leaders of America Conference.

New technology for law enforcement and a tracking device for lost seniors and children have been honored in this year's "Big Idea" business-plan competition. The Wright Gear Corp. won a $7,500 Manufacturing and Technology Award funded through a Pennsylvania College of Technology Keystone Innovation Grant. Williamsport Mayor Mary B.

Penn College students and employees celebrated homecoming and supported a new scholarship fund at a donkey basketball game Thursday. All money raised from ticket sales went directly into the new Student Legacy Fund, which will serve as a scholarship program for student leaders at Penn College. This is the first student-established and student-run endowment program on campus.

Pennsylvania College of Technology's Financial Aid Office recently held a one-stop event at which student-veterans could learn about a variety of educational and financial benefits. "When speaking with Penn College student-veterans about their educational benefits, we realized that they are unaware of the many outside resources available to them," said Marcia H.

Pennsylvania College of Technology will offer a variety of events and activities for the college community and public throughout February to commemorate Black History Month. All events are being sponsored by the Student Activities Office with the exception of the Feb.

State Sen. Jake Corman, a 1990 graduate of Penn College, was the guest speaker for Thursday's inaugural Pennsylvania Farm Show alumni reception in Harrisburg. Corman shared his thoughts on issues under consideration in the state Legislature, and he and his fellow alumni enjoyed meeting and greeting one another over hors d' oeuvres. Penn College's School of Industrial and Engineering Technologies put its stamp on a weeklong series of Pennsylvania Farm Show appearances, providing the public with a popular, hands-on look at the college's "degrees that work." Representatives of Penn College's School of Natural Resources Management joined alumni relations and admissions staff at the Pennsylvania Farm Show in Harrisburg on Wednesday. The "Horticulture Wheel of Fortune" was very popular with youngsters, who would spin the wheel to identify the topic (soil, botany, landscaping, etc.) on which they would be asked a question.
