Pennsylvania College of Technology’s fall sports teams went a combined 4-4-1 last week, with the men’s soccer team winning both of its matches.
The men’s and women’s cross-country teams will begin their seasons at the Dutchmen Invitational on Saturday at Lebanon Valley College. Both teams had a strong 2024 season, with the men repeating as conference champions, and both feature runners from last year’s all-conference teams.
The women’s tennis team begins its season on Saturday at the King’s College Invitational.
The men’s tennis team kicks off its season Wednesday against Penn State Altoona.
Last week, Pennsylvania College of Technology’s fall sports teams went a combined 4-4 as their seasons got underway, led by the women’s soccer team, which won both of its matches.
“I think this season has the potential to be something special. We are going to be a young team, but everyone has come in eager to learn and make the program better,” said head women’s volleyball coach Kyle Hawk. “While we are a young team, everyone is incredibly talented.”
The Wildcats, led by United East Conference Player of the Year and Rookie of the Year Megan Kurian, are coming off a record-setting year that included the first unbeaten regular season in program history (14-0-1).
“I believe we will have one of the deepest teams I've ever coached at Penn College," said Tyler Mensch, head coach for men's soccer. "We have a lot of new guys who have all played at a high level. The competition has been really strong, and a lot of guys are battling and trying to make an impact right away."
