Penn College junior Garrett Hornung (Emporium) was named the Penn State University Athletic Conference Baseball Player of the Week for the period ending April 17. Hornung hit .636 (7-11) with three doubles, five RBI and 10 runs. He helped the Wildcats to a 3-1 week, sweeping Penn State York and splitting with Penn State Mont Alto. This is Hornung's first PSUAC honor this season.
Penn College archery coaches Chad Karstetter and Brian Parker say goodbye to four "irreplaceable seniors" this season, telling a Senior Day audience Saturday that the young men and woman represent their alma mater as both outstanding students and athletes who will be greatly missed.
