Nearly 1,350 ninth- through 12-graders (and 172 chaperones) from 38 area schools gathered on Penn College's campuses Friday for Career Day, which allows high school students to explore a wide variety of technical careers through hands-on activities, tours of facilities, and discussions with students and faculty.

A new scholarship fund at Pennsylvania College of Technology aims to reward high grades and community service among students in the college's School of Industrial and Engineering Technologies. The School of Industrial and Engineering Technologies Endowed Scholarship Fund is building toward endowed (permanent) status, with a goal of at least $25,000 in the fund.

Pennsylvania College of Technology's computer aided drafting technology major recently was recertified by the American Design Drafting Association. ADDA, an organization for designers, drafters, architects, illustrators and technical artists, provides certification to recognize schools whose design/drafting curriculum meets its established and approved standards.

Twenty-two high school students attended Summer Technology Camp on Penn College's campus June 24-27, during which they experienced hands-on workshops in all of the School of Industrial and Engineering Technologies laboratories.
