William Ma, professor of mathematics at Pennsylvania College of Technology, has published two research papers jointly with a University of Cincinnati professor. The papers by Ma and David Minda, who is the Charles Phelps Taft professor of mathematics at the University of Cincinnati, appeared in The Journal of Analysis, Volume 15 (2007).

The Volunteer Income Tax Assistance program, in which a dozen Pennsylvania College of Technology students helped hundreds of local residents prepare returns last year, soon will resume at the college's Madigan Library. The free program will be offered from 4-6 p.m. Monday through Thursday from Feb. 4 until April 10.

Danielle Trout, of Linglestown, a freshman guard-forward on the Penn College women's basketball team, has been named "Student-Athlete of the Week" for Dec. 9-15. During a game Dec. 10 against Penn State Wilkes-Barre, Trout showed off her defensive hustle and team play with 12 steals, 13 rebounds and seven assists, nearly achieving a triple-double.

The new general manager at Le Jeune Chef Restaurant on Pennsylvania College of Technology's main campus brings with him 20 years of management experience in the hospitality industry, including in some of the nation's most high-profile clubs. Das, a professor of information technology in Pennsylvania College of Technology's School of Business and Computer Technologies, recently presented a paper at the 10th IEEE (Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers) High Assurance Systems Engineering Symposium at the University of Texas in Dallas.

Le Jeune Chef Restaurant, a live-learning lab for students in Pennsylvania College of Technology's School of Hospitality, is now accepting gift cards. This is a new service for the restaurant's patrons to replace its gift certificates. Unlike the certificates, the gift cards may be ordered over the phone with a credit card or purchased in person in the restaurant.
