A number of Pennsylvania College of Technology students have posted impressive finishes in the latest rounds of the online Business Strategy Game, including one group that placed in the Top 100 among international competition in three categories.

"Hiding in Plain Sight," part of Penn College's observance of National Cyber Security Awareness Month, was held Tuesday afternoon in the PDC's Mountain Laurel Room. The rapid evolution of malicious software whether used for concealing data, destroying data, unauthorized access or identity theft is affecting business operations around the globe.

William Ma, a professor of mathematics at Pennsylvania College of Technology, was recently nominated by a former student for inclusion in "Who's Who Among America's Teachers and Educators." His biography will appear in the 11th edition of the book, which honors about 5 percent of the nation's teachers.

On Sept. 29 and 30, Penn College's catering class will again provide food at the annual Gourmet Harvest Festival at Hunt Country Vineyards in Branchport, N.Y., on the western flank of Keuka Lake. The students will be accompanied by chefs Michael J. Ditchfield, the catering class instructor, and Monica J. Lanczak and Paul Mach, who will offer cooking demonstrations.

On Tuesday afternoon, approximately 30 students from the Information Technology and Electronics & Computer Engineering Technology programs enjoyed a presentation by Harry Rundall, territory sales manager for Fluke Networks.
