Limited only by their imaginations (and the end of the fall semester), students in Pennsylvania College of Technology's School of Hospitality once again put on a dazzling display of playfulness and prowess for the latest edition of the annual Food Show in the Thompson Professional Development Center's Mountain Laurel Room.
Culinary arts and baking and pastry arts students at Pennsylvania College of Technology will show their final works during the School of Hospitality's annual Food Show on Dec. 2.
Students in Penn College's School of Hospitality worked alongside Sabrina LaRosa, who traveled from her home and her mother's cooking school in Calabria, Italy, to teach students the recipes and techniques of authentic southern Italian cuisine. Her visit culminated with a Visiting Chef dinner on Friday, which raised funds for annual scholarship awards.
The fruition of a full semester's project by 11 students in Chef Monica J. Lanczak's Advanced Patisserie Operations class a baking and pastry "trade show" will be held Friday morning in Room B129 of the Hager Lifelong Education Center.

Students in the Advanced Patisserie Operations class presented their first bake sale of the Fall 2011 semester Friday morning, a menu of "International Delights" that appropriately satisfied the senses. Student managers for the sale, held in Le Jeune Patissier (in the market area of the Carl Building Technologies Center) were Ana-Maria Grigore, Oksana M. Punako and Lauren G. Hammer.
