Pennsylvania College of Technology presented an Alumni Achievement Award to Eli M. Hughes, of State College, during Spring Commencement ceremonies held Saturday at the Community Arts Center, Williamsport. Hughes earned a bachelor's degree in electronics engineering technology from Penn College in May 2001.

The Community Arts Center was home to three Spring Commencement ceremonies held May 14-15 for more than 900 students graduating from Pennsylvania College of Technology. Friday's 3 p.m. proceedings featured students from the schools of Business and Computer Technologies, Hospitality, and Transportation Technology; Saturday's 10 a.m.

Student Health Services will continue to administer free H1N1 vaccine to Penn College students, employees and alumni through the end of February. There have been more than 85,000 cases of influenza-like illness since late August, and it is Student Health Services' goal to get the vaccine to as many people as possible who are at risk of suffering serious complications from the virus.
