Tim-brrrrr! On a brisk, spring day more suited for burning wood than cutting it, Pennsylvania College of Technology's Schneebeli Earth Science Center hosted the Mid-Atlantic Intercollegiate Woodsmen's Meet.

Pennsylvania's home of hands-on education is adding an appropriately personal touch to its institutional Web presence, giving the public an opportunity to submit photographs for online use. Through a new "Share your creativity" link on Penn College's home page, photos of the campus and related activities may be submitted for consideration.

Raymond Marshalek, who graduated from Penn College forerunner Williamsport Technical Institute in 1955, received an Alumni of the Year Award during the Williamsport/Lycoming Chamber of Commerce's ninth annual Education Celebration on Thursday.

Student Health Services will continue to administer free H1N1 vaccine to Penn College students, employees and alumni through the end of February. There have been more than 85,000 cases of influenza-like illness since late August, and it is Student Health Services' goal to get the vaccine to as many people as possible who are at risk of suffering serious complications from the virus.

Pennsylvania College of Technology has presented a Mentorship Award to Snyder Union Mifflin Child Development Inc. and the agency's executive director, Sharon Koppel. The presentation was made during a Dec. 19 commencement ceremony held at the Community Arts Center, Williamsport.
