Pennsylvania College of Technology was recently awarded a $200,000 Keystone Innovation Grant by the state Department of Community and Economic Development. Following an address in Hershey by Gov. Edward G. Rendell to Keystone Innovation Center stakeholders, Rebecca Bagley, deputy secretary for technology investment for DCED, announced the grant award to Penn College.

Penn College students placed first and third in the second annual Quad College & University Business Plan Challenge, exiting the Community Theatre League with a total of $15,000 in prize money Tuesday afternoon. The Plastics Manufacturing Center at Pennsylvania College of Technology recently began a pilot program to certify employees in Pennsylvania's plastics industry through a special programs contract in cooperation with the Central Pennsylvania Workforce Development Corp., Lewisburg. The next Medical Assistant class at Pennsylvania College of Technology's North Campus, located three miles east of Wellsboro, is scheduled to begin in April.
