All three Pennsylvania College of Technology winter sports teams were in action last week. Men’s Basketball Squaring off Friday against crosstown rival Lycoming College in the Dutch Burch Tip-Off Tournament, Penn College put up a good fight in a 94-77 loss. The Wildcats fell behind 13-0 at the onset, but battled back to within 27-24 before Lycoming pulled away.

The Penn College Martial Arts Club traveled to West Chester University on Saturday to participate in its first East Coast Collegiate Karate Union tournament. The college was represented by Alexander J. Hilton, Lewis C. Muya, Eric M. Russell and Kenneth P. McGullam, who all competed well, according to head coach George Vance.

The Penn College men's volleyball club team competed in its first tournament of the season Saturday, finishing in a tie for third in the Meliora Invitational at the University of Rochester. The United States Collegiate Athletic Association announced its All-American and All-Academic Team award winners for men’s and women’s soccer and women’s volleyball Wednesday night. Penn College totaled six All-Americans and four All-Academic Team selections. All-American honors are based on athletic performance throughout the season and are voted on by the institutions of the USCAA.

Pennsylvania College of Technology fall student-athletes had strong representation in the Penn State University Athletic Conference end-of-season awards with 13 making all-conference. The Wildcats also had two Player of the Year selections in senior Christopher Brennan (New Hope) for men’s soccer and junior Corey Teeple (Lake Ariel) for golf.
