In their best combined week of the fall sports season, Pennsylvania College of Technology athletic teams recorded seven wins and just three losses. FLASHBACK Golf Getting great team scoring for the third time in as many Penn State University Athletic Conference matches, Penn College finished first among seven teams Thursday in the Penn State Schuylkill Invitational.

David Munn Senior David Munn, of Athens, was named the United States Collegiate Athletic Association Goalkeeper of the Week and the Penn State University Athletic Conference Men’s Soccer Player of the Week for the period ending Sept. 15.  In the team’s 2-0 week, Munn recorded two shutouts and made six saves.  The honors are Munn’s first of the season.

Colleagues on the volleyball court, Lady Wildcats also team up to tie-dye. Employing squirt bottles – a change over past years' method of dunking garments into buckets of pink – participants douse their T-shirts with color.

Courtney Gernert Junior outside hitter Courtney Gernert, of Palmyra, was named the Penn State University Athletic Conference Women’s Volleyball Player of the Week for the period ending Sept. 8.  In her team’s two games, Gernert totaled 17 kills, averaging 2.83 kills per set.  She also notched four aces and digs.  This is her first honor of the season.

Malcolm Kane Freshman goalkeeper Malcolm Kane, of Glenside, was named the Penn State University Athletic Conference Men’s Soccer Player of the Week for the period ending Sept. 1.  In the team’s first game of the season, Kane recorded 10 saves on his way to a 3-1 win over New York's Alfred State.  He becomes the first selection for the award on the year.
