A celebration of the diversity and quality of regional art will be hosted by The Gallery at Penn College with its Regional Juried Exhibition 2018, set for May 29 through July 27. Showcasing 63 creative pieces by 51 artists representing 35 Pennsylvania cities and towns, the exhibition includes a reception set for Sunday, June 3, from 2 to 5 p.m.

A total of 240 students from 16 school districts in Bradford, Lycoming and Union counties converged on Pennsylvania College of Technology’s campus on Thursday to participate in the annual Student Government Seminar hosted by state Sen.

The College Transitions Office hosted its Spring Career Day on Monday, welcoming 1,283 seventh- to ninth-graders from across northcentral Pennsylvania. Faculty provided more than 40 sessions in Penn College’s labs to help the visitors explore careers and learn about college expectations. Schools attending were Mifflin County Middle School, North Penn-Mansfield Jr./Sr.

Pennsylvania College of Technology held three commencement ceremonies May 11-12 for more than 900 students who petitioned to graduate following the Spring 2018 semester. The Friday afternoon proceedings at the Community Arts Center honored students from the School of Industrial, Computing & Engineering Technologies and the School of Sciences, Humanities & Visual Communications.

The 2017-18 Student Activities Awards, recently presented in the Keystone Dining Room, paid tribute to inspiring Penn College students, their faculty/staff supporters and the organizations in which they are tirelessly involved. Those honored as the academic year draws to a close, are: Student Leader of the Year Logan B. Goodhart, Baja SAE Club New Student Leader of the Year Danielle R.

An April event hosted by Pennsylvania College of Technology’s School of Health Sciences brought together students from nine majors to simulate patient care. “The event emphasized the importance of collaboration among health care professionals in providing optimal patient care,” said Larissa D. Whitney, instructor of physician assistant studies, who led the team coordinating the event.
