Furthering an impressive track record of civic involvement on Wednesday, Penn College student-athletes assisted with moving books from James V. Brown Library to Pine Street United Methodist Church for this weekend's Friends of the Library book sale. The fall tradition is scheduled from 9 a.m.-7 p.m. Friday and 9 a.m.-3 p.m. Saturday at the 444 Pine St. church.

Penn College is participating in Welcoming Week (Sept. 14-23), a national appreciation of international students and their collective contributions to campus culture.

The 10th annual Greater Lycoming Out of the Darkness Community Walk, hosted by the American Foundation for Suicide Prevention’s Central Pennsylvania chapter and Penn College, attracted 330 participants for a fundraising stroll across main campus. The first full week of September – and the final days of "PC3," which annually welcomes fall with a stream of activity – invited students to commune with nature, explore their surroundings, share their heritage and make some noise!

Penn College's Part-Time Job Fair and Fall Fusion returned this week in and around the Field House, giving students a chance to interact with more than 100 potential employers and campus/community organizations. A near-record number of students registered for Tuesday’s conveniently combined events – 527, according to the official count provided by Dana R.

“PC3,” an event-studded kickoff to a new school year, has again provided students with a full schedule of activities by which to make friends and break from the rigor of academic assignments.

A cross-section of the Penn College community – including student-athletes, Circle K members, alumni and neighbors – collected 28 bags of recylables and 20 bags of trash during a cleanup on Saturday.
