Students at Pennsylvania College of Technology are off to an exciting start for the 2025-2026 school year. From move-in day and Welcome Week to the first day of classes, the Penn College campuses are in full swing, with on-campus, off-campus and commuter students enjoying activities that aim to prepare, engage and excite.

As part of a partnership that dates to the excavation of Lamade Stadium in 1959, the Little League Baseball World Series yields hands-on learning activities for Penn College students. In just the series' first four days, photographers captured the activities of paramedic, baking & culinary, and welding students.

The behind-the-scenes work of paramedics – including a contingent of students from Penn College’s paramedic program – was highlighted in a story that aired on WNEP-TV on Thursday evening.

Pennsylvania College of Technology recently celebrated its newest inductees into Pennsylvania Sigma Tau Chapter of Lambda Nu, the national honor society for radiologic and imaging sciences.

Penn College’s Summer 2025 Commencement, held Saturday at the Journey Bank Community Arts Center, welcomed the college’s newest graduates. The student speaker was Whendy E. Marshall-Magallon, of York, who received a combined Bachelor/Master of Science degree in physician assistant studies.

A day before Saturday’s Summer Commencement ceremonies, students graduating with Master of Science and combined Bachelor/Master of Science degrees in physician assistant studies were celebrated during a “white coat ceremony.” White coat ceremonies are long-held traditions in many medical and physician assistant programs and symbolize the transition from student to health care provider.

Among the huge assembly of people required to welcome 20 teams and around 300,000 fans to the Little League Baseball World Series in South Williamsport are Pennsylvania College of Technology students and staff. Baking and culinary students and staff from the college’s Le Jeune Chef Restaurant are set to prepare meals for the competing teams, while paramedic students will help provide for the emergency medical needs of the thousands of spectators who attend each of the nationally televised series’ 38 games.

Watch the journey of a new sculpture installed recently at the Little League International Complex in South Williamsport. The sculpture was devised by Little League staff, who envisioned a huge globe that could serve as a photo prop for the tens of thousands of visitors who will make their way to the complex during the upcoming Little League Baseball World Series. To make it happen, they turned to the experts at Penn College.

More than 140 students have petitioned to graduate from Pennsylvania College of Technology following the Summer 2025 sessions. A commencement ceremony will be held at 11 a.m. on Saturday, Aug. 9, at the Journey Bank Community Arts Center, with 89 students expected to march in the proceedings.

A team of Pennsylvania College of Technology students recently completed the U.S. Department of Energy’s BuildingsNEXT challenge – and simultaneously provided the City of Williamsport a picture of what a net-zero energy youth facility in the city could look like. The BuildingsNEXT Student Design Competition – formerly the Solar Decathlon – encourages college students to design high-performance buildings that improve quality of life through great affordability, resiliency and energy efficiency.
