Nine Penn College students, led by Cassie M. Pickens, Student Activities' assistant director for programming, took part in a community-service project at the Williamsport YWCA on Saturday afternoon. Despite more than a touch of fall in the air, the group rolled up its collective sleeves to repaint driveway and parking-lot lines, among other maintenance at the 815 W. Fourth St. facility.
The second annual Quad College and University Business Plan Challenge is open to full- or part-time students at Pennsylvania College of Technology, Lycoming College, Mansfield University and Lock Haven University. Students from the School of Hospitality's artistic buffet course took to the ice Wednesday morning on the patio outside the Susquehanna Room. Under the direction of Frank M. Suchwala, instructor of hospitality management and culinary arts, the students carved goldfish sculptures from blocks of ice.
