The Pennsylvania Society of Land Surveyors-Penn College Student Chapter was in action at the Lycoming County Historical Society's Thomas T. Taber Museum earlier this month. Initially. the club wanted to help at the annual "Terror at the Taber" haunted museum just before Halloween, but, because of scheduling conflicts with its anniversary celebrations, the 858 W. Ryan P. Becker, a construction management major from Johnstown, has been chosen as the Student Government Association's "Student of the Month" for November.

Students enrolled in the School of Health Sciences at Pennsylvania College of Technology will partner with state and local organizations to administer free flu shots throughout Lycoming County in November. Nursing, paramedic and physician assistant students will administer flu and pneumococcal vaccine and will distribute educational materials regarding the immunizations at seven sites.
The Outdoor Adventure Club held a "Camping On Campus" event this week, setting up tents in front of the ATHS on Wednesday evening and tearing down Thursday afternoon. Pennsylvania College of Technology's Society of Manufacturing Engineers student chapter recently toured two Pennsylvania companies the Benton Foundry on Oct. 12 and the Perryman Co. on Nov. 2. The Benton Foundry, located about 40 minutes away in Benton, mixes and pours its own compositions of iron and steel according to customer requirements.
