Last November, Jeffrey J.Faherty, a sophomore at Pennsylvania College of Technology, ran his first marathon ever in Harrisburg . Today, he's savoring the moment of running in and completing the Boston Marathon. Faherty covered the 26.2-mile course in 3 hours, 22 minutes April 21. "It was incredible," Faherty said of the experience.

The College West Apartment complex emerged as the victor in a recent four-week recycling contest held among Pennsylvania College of Technology's residence halls. Ten members and two advisers of the Earth Smart club spent Tuesday afternoon cleaning a section of Northway Road in Loyalsock Township. This is the club's ninth year cleaning that portion of road. The club cleans the roadway twice a year once in the fall semester and again in spring.
