Pennsylvania College of Technology has recognized the support of longtime partner West Pharmaceutical Services Inc., a global leader in innovative solutions for injectable drug administration, with the naming of a lab in the school’s Electrical Technologies Center.

About 30 Pennsylvania College of Technology students will be part of the culinary brigade serving guests at Churchill Downs during the 151st running of the famed Kentucky Derby on May 3. The students were interviewed and hired by staff of Levy Restaurants, which provides dining operations at Churchill Downs, for internships at the facility during Derby Week, the event-filled lead-up to the Kentucky Derby.

Pennsylvania College of Technology’s Construction Management Association was a top finisher in the Associated Builders and Contractors annual Construction Management Competition, held Feb. 23-27 in Las Vegas as part of the organization’s annual convention. The six-student team represented the college in a field of 34 colleges and universities, most of them much larger, and earned first place in three of four categories: estimating, project management and safety.
