On track: PTA Recruitment Day

Tuesday, April 29, 2025

The Physical Therapist Assistant Recruitment Day, held recently in the atrium of the Breuder Advanced Technology & Health Sciences Center, connected a number of employers with the Penn College talent they are seeking.

"We are incredibly fortunate to have employers who are eager to meet with our physical therapist assistant students right here on campus,” said Victoria Hurwitz, director of physical therapist assistant. “It was inspiring to witness the energy and enthusiasm at our recruitment event and reassuring to know that our students will have their pick of employment opportunities upon graduation."

The PTA Recruitment Day, attracting nine employers and 23 students, was among 12 major-specific recruitment events organized by Career Services during Spring 2025. The opportunities served 432 students and 146 employers, according to Stacey L. Girven, career and alumni events manager, who also noted that 39 alumni returned to campus, representing their employers and recruiting Penn College Tomorrow Makers. (These smaller recruitment events are separate from the large, two-day Spring Career Fair that drew the interest of more than 300 companies, approximately 1,230 students and over 150 alumni.)

Another successful recruitment semester is in the books!
