Two Pennsylvania College of Technology forest technology graduates and their new business are featured in “The Grain,” the monthly newsletter of the Keystone Wood Products Association. In the article titled “Branching Out: Industry Professionals Unite,” Cody A. Campion, ’11, and Zachery G. Hess, ’12, are welcomed as new members of the association. They own Keystone Timber & Forestry LLC, based in New Columbia, about 10 miles south of where they met – at the college’s Schneebeli Earth Science Center.
The Community Arts Center has received a $3,000 donation from Jersey Shore State Bank, as part of the Educational Improvement Tax Credit program. The funds will be used to support the approved programming at the CAC.
Twenty teams from 12 high schools are set to gather at Pennsylvania College of Technology on March 6 to test their anatomy knowledge using a unique learning technology from Anatomage Inc. In addition to challenging the competitors’ knowledge of anatomical structures, the Anatomage Tournament will provide participants with hands-on experience using Anatomage Table 3D technology.

“Speed Date Your Career,” held recently in the Center for Career Design, gave students the opportunity to engage with Penn College Corporate Tomorrow Makers for networking practice, recruitment opportunities, raffle prizes and refreshments.
The Community Arts Center has received a $2,500 donation from Fulton Bank as part of the Educational Improvement Tax Credit program. “Fulton Bank is proud to support the educational initiatives at the Community Arts Center through the EITC program,” shared Leslie Temple, senior vice president market leader/business development, Fulton Bank.
Over 65 Penn College students engaged with 16 employers at the Human Services & Restorative Justice Internship and Job Expo. “Engaging with employers early and often helps students gain a clearer understanding of career possibilities and build meaningful professional connections," said Elizabeth E. Winder, associate professor of human services & restorative justice.
Whitestone will be recruiting Penn College civil engineering, construction management and concrete science majors at a "Pop-up Employer Information Table" in College Avenue Labs on Wednesday, Feb. 19. The company will be set up in the hallway near CAL 114 from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.
