The Community Arts Center is pleased to announce it is the recipient of a $5,000 donation from Woodlands Bank through the Pennsylvania Education Improvement Tax Credit program. The funding will support the CAC’s approved programs, which include the Student Summer Stock, Educational Series and The Nutcracker production.

The U.S. Council of the International Association of Emergency Managers has selected William A. Schlosser as the association’s 2024 Emergency Management Educator of the Year. Schlosser is an emergency management and homeland security instructor at Pennsylvania College of Technology. The award was presented at the 72nd IAEM-USA Annual Conference’s President’s Banquet and Awards Ceremony, held recently in Colorado Springs, Colorado.

Four Pennsylvania College of Technology students have been awarded scholarships totaling $4,500 from the Pennsylvania Landscape & Nursery Association Foundation. The 2024-25 PLNA Foundation Scholarship recipients are: Morgan R. Max, a forest technology student from Pipersville, and three landscape/plant production technology students: Jahrell M. Harper, of Bloomsburg; Jake A. Seasock, of Lancaster; and Saudiah Wells, of Williamsport.

A longtime partner of Pennsylvania College of Technology recently donated to one of the school’s largest programs. Employees of High Steel Structures LLC – through the High Foundation – contributed $3,400 for use in the college’s welding program. Over 360 students are enrolled in the welding & metal fabrication program cluster at the college.
