Watch the journey of a new sculpture installed recently at the Little League International Complex in South Williamsport. The sculpture was devised by Little League staff, who envisioned a huge globe that could serve as a photo prop for the tens of thousands of visitors who will make their way to the complex during the upcoming Little League Baseball World Series. To make it happen, they turned to the experts at Penn College.

Representatives from University of Kansas visited Penn College recently to learn more about its heating, ventilation & air conditioning degrees. The university is the lead institution in a new National Science Foundation Gen-4 Engineering Research Center named the Environmentally Applied Refrigerant Technology Hub. For almost two years, Penn College has been part of a consortium of technical schools involved in the NSF proposal to develop a new Engineering Research Center based on HVAC innovation.

Head golf coach Rob Lytle is the guest on the latest “WildCast” episode. The podcast is produced by Penn College Athletics. Lytle, a former volunteer assistant coach for the college’s golf team, finished his third season at the helm this spring.

Pennsylvania College of Technology welding students are the spark behind an eye-catching addition to the Little League Baseball World Series complex in South Williamsport: a roughly 7-foot-tall stainless steel globe structure featuring metal cutouts shaped to represent the continents. “This is probably one of the most unique projects we’ve done," said Michael R. Allen, instructor and co-department head of welding.

Pennsylvania College of Technology has appointed Chenchen Huang dean of the School of Business, Arts & Sciences. Huang, who has more than 15 years’ experience in higher education, comes to Penn College from Frostburg State University, where he was an assistant professor and chairperson of the accounting department.

Head women’s basketball coach Britni E. Mohney is the guest on the latest episode of “WildCast,” a podcast by Penn College’s athletics department. Mohney, who has coached the Wildcats since 2019, led the team to the conference playoffs for the third consecutive season in 2024-25.

In the latest episode of WildCast, podcast host Matt Blymier, assistant director of athletics for compliance and athletic communication, interviews Dalton Rohrbaugh, the head wrestling coach at Penn College. Rohrbaugh, in his first year as a head coach, led the wrestling team to an Allegheny Mountain Collegiate Conference championship. The team went on to have five podium finishers at regionals, with one – senior Noah Hunt – advancing to nationals.
