College takes international stage at World of Concrete

Friday, January 23, 2026

Thirteen students, joined by three faculty members, an assistant dean and two alumni, just wrapped up an impactful four days at World of Concrete, an international trade show that encompasses 700,000 square feet inside and outside the Las Vegas Convention Center.

World of Concrete welcomed the students and the college, providing an exhibit booth at no cost to help promote the college’s concrete science technology degree. World of Concrete and other industry partners also pay the cost for students to attend the convention, where they attend classes and check out the more than 1,500 companies that exhibit at the event.

Among highlights, faculty members Franklin H. Reber, instructor of building construction technology, and Joe F. DiBucci, instructor of building construction technology: concrete and masonry, were interviewed on the Coatings Coffee Shop sound stage, helping to further share the college’s hands-on, real-world ready degrees.

Also helping at the event were Scott A. Bierly, instructor of building construction technology, and Ellyn A. Lester, assistant dean of construction and architectural technologies.
