Greg Twiggs will be the featured professional at the 16th Annual Spring Golf Classic hosted by the Pennsylvania College of Technology Foundation on May 6 at the Williamsport Country Club. The annual fund-raising event for sponsors supports the Scholarship Aid Program for Penn College students. Since 1990, the Foundation has provided $148,000 in scholarships to Penn College students.

Motorcyclists and car enthusiasts will gather again at Pennsylvania College of Technology on May 5 for the Fourth Annual Motorcycle Scholarship Ride and Car Cruise, an event benefiting student scholarships. Last year's ride raised $4,500 for the Penn College Scholarship Fund and featured participation by 225 motorcycles, 50 cars and more than 500 people.

Russell Bry, executive chef/partner of Lettuce Entertain You Enterprises, Inc. and a former Distinguished Visiting Chef at Pennsylvania College of Technology, will return to the College this month to offer a Masters Class for faculty and students in the School of Hospitality.

Approximately 50 exhibitors will display building products and services with a "green" orientation April 22-23 at Pennsylvania College of Technology for the "Penn College Green Building Fair." The event, which is free and open to the public, will run from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. Monday, April 22, and 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Tuesday, April 23, at the Penn College Field House.

Prospective students and their families, alumni and visitors will be able to see what Pennsylvania's premier technical college has to offer when Pennsylvania College of Technology presents Open House 2002 on Sunday, March 17. The event will take place from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m.

Travis Dale, executive chef of the Sand Creek Country Club in Chesterton, Ind., and a gold-medal-winning ice sculptor who helped to create ice-carving displays for the Winter Olympics, will showcase his talents at Pennsylvania College of Technology on March 16-17 for the Visiting Chef Series dinner and the College's Open House 2002 event.

Future chefs, architects, drafters, masons, welders, carpenters, cabinetmakers and other students in technology fields will vie for regional honors and the opportunity to compete at the state level when Pennsylvania College of Technology hosts the SkillsUSA-VICA District 6 Skills Competition on Feb. 15.

Chefs John Folse and Leah Chase, world-renowned authorities on the art of Cajun and Creole cooking, will return to Pennsylvania College of Technology on Dec. 1 for the Distinguished Visiting Chef Series dinner at Le Jeune Chef Restaurant.

More than 1,000 students in grades 7-12 from 15 school districts around Pennsylvania will visit Pennsylvania College of Technology on Friday, Oct. 19, to explore a variety of careers ranging from floral design to plastics technology. The "Career Day" event will take place from 9 a.m.

Ira Dubner, owner and chocolatier of the "The Chocolate Studio" in Norristown, will make a Halloween centerpiece and other delectable confections from chocolate in a demonstration to be offered Wednesday, Oct. 3, at Pennsylvania College of Technology.
