A job fair designed specifically to place former workers of the HON Co.'s Williamsport facility in new jobs will be held Friday, July 20, at Pennsylvania College of Technology. The fair, which is being hosted by the HON Co.

PGA Tour veteran Jeff Gallagher will be the featured professional at the15th Annual Spring Golf Classic hosted by the Pennsylvania College of Technology Foundation on Monday, May 14, at the Williamsport Country Club. The annual fund-raising event for sponsors supports the Scholarship Aid Program for Penn College students, providing $134,500 in scholarships since 1990.

Car enthusiasts will join their motorcycling counterparts this year for a tour through the scenic northcentral Pennsylvania countryside on the Third Annual "Pride Ride" at Pennsylvania College of Technology on Sunday, May 6. What had been a motorcycles-only event to raise money for the Pride Ride Scholarship Fund at Penn College, has been expanded this year to include car entries.

Pennsylvania College of Technology was the site of the recent 2001 National Association for Campus Activities' East Coast Festival, a two-day event attended by some 270 students from more than 50 colleges and universities and more than 100 agents and performers in the college-entertainment field.

Students from more than a dozen schools will test their mettle in a variety of events at the Mid-Atlantic Horticulture/Landscape Field Day, which Pennsylvania College of Technology will host on Saturday, April 7, at its Earth Science Center campus near Allenwood.

Students at Pennsylvania College of Technology will be able to meet informally with approximately 125 employers participating in "Career Expo" and "Career Fair" events on Thursday, March 22, at the College's main campus in Williamsport and the Earth Science Center near Allenwood. More than 100 firms will have representatives at "Career Expo 2001," scheduled for 1 to 4 p.m.

Campus tours, helpful information sessions and a variety of fun activities await participants in the annual spring Open House event planned for Sunday, March 25, at Pennsylvania College of Technology. Demonstrations and displays will be open from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m., and general-information sessions for future students will be offered from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.

Products and services with a "green" orientation will be on display at the Green Building Fair, scheduled for March 30-31 at Pennsylvania College of Technology. Nearly 50 exhibitors and professionals will offer displays during the event, which will be held at Penn College's Field House from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. Friday, March 30, and 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturday, March 31.

A thousand students in grades 7-12 across Pennsylvania will learn more about of a variety of vocations when they gather at Pennsylvania College of Technology for "Career Day" on Friday, March 16. During the event, which will run from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m., students will have the opportunity to explore diverse career choices ranging from pastry chef to semiconductor technician.

Delectable desserts created by renowned Chef Gale E. O'Malley will highlight the Distinguished Visiting Chef Series dinner on Saturday, Dec. 2, at Pennsylvania College of Technology.
