Russell Bry began his food industry career at the age of 12 as a dishwasher. Today, he is a major force on the Chicago culinary scene. Bry will bring his experience and insights to Pennsylvania College of Technology as part of its Visiting Chef Series.

"Looking to the Future through the Past" is the theme for Open House '99 at Pennsylvania College of Technology. On Sunday, March 21, the College will honor its rich history spanning most of the 20th century as well as celebrate the technology moving the campus and its students into the 21st century.

A sweet silent auction, held each December, puts Pennsylvania College of Technology students in touch with the effort to provide affordable housing to area residents in need. Students in Penn College's "Chocolate Works" class design and create chocolate housesthat are sold in a public auction to benefit Williamsport/Lycoming's Habitat for Humanity.

The Potter County Education Council and Pennsylvania College of Technology's North Campus are teaming up to bring New Choices/New Options Career Development Services to Potter County. A job-search workshop will be held at the new satellite office of the Potter County Education Council (formerly the Widmann's building) on Main Street in Galeton from Oct. 19 through Nov. 13.

Young imaginations will soar as 600 Boy Scouts from five counties descend on Pennsylvania College of Technology's Aviation Center, at the Williamsport Regional Airport in Montoursville, for an "Aviation ScoutFest" the weekend of Friday, Sept. 18, through Sunday, Sept. 20.

During 1998-99, Pennsylvania College of Technology is celebrating 85 years of educational programming and service to the community, including 10 years as a Penn State affiliate. The observance will continue at the College throughout the academic year.

The North American Council of Automotive Teachers is celebrating its 25th annual conference and has selected Pennsylvania College of Technology to be the host site. NACAT delegates from across the United States and Canada will converge on the Penn College campus the week of July 20-24 to learn about new advances in the transportation industry and new approaches in education.
