Pennsylvania College of Technology has rededicated the former HON Industries Inc. manufacturing plant as an instructional facility named College Avenue Labs.

The Fourth Annual Russ Trapp Memorial Golf Tournament an event benefiting scholarships for students in the Physician Assistant major at Pennsylvania College of Technology will be held June 7 at White Deer Golf Course. Trapp was the first director of the Physician Assistant program at Penn College.

Jack Nicklaus II, an award-winning golf-course designer and former touring professional, will be the featured pro at the 17th Annual Spring Golf Classic hosted by the Pennsylvania College of Technology Foundation on May 12 at the Williamsport Country Club. The annual fund-raising event for sponsors supports the Scholarship Aid Program for Penn College students.

Environmentally friendly building products and services will be on display April 14-15, when the fourth annual Green Building Fair is presented at Pennsylvania College of Technology. The builders' show, which will be held at the Penn College Field House from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. on April 14 and 10 a.m. to 5 p.m.

The Fourth Annual International Week, a celebration of cultures from around the world, will be held March 27 to April 4 at Pennsylvania College of Technology.

Two renowned chefs from Atlanta Jeff Vosburgh, executive chef of Savoy Bar & Grill, and David Robins, executive pastry chef at the Buckhead Bread Company & Corner Cafe will prepare a sumptuous "Southern Temptations" Visiting Chef Series dinner March 29 at Pennsylvania College of Technology's Le Jeune Chef Restaurant.

Prospective students and their families, as well as first-time visitors to Pennsylvania College of Technology, can tour the campus, meet with faculty and administrators and learn about academic programs, financial aid, student housing and more at Spring Visitation Day on Sunday, March 23. The event will be held from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m.

Encouraging students to make good decisions and enjoy Spring Break safely is the focus of an event to be offered Tuesday, March 4, at Pennsylvania College of Technology.

Area children between the ages of 6 and 12 can receive free oral-health exams and clear sealants for their permanent back teeth when Pennsylvania College of Technology and the Pennsylvania Dental Hygienists' Association join forces to offer "Sealant Saturday" Feb. 1 at the College.

Todd Downs, award-winning executive chef at the Park Avenue Cafe in Chicago, will prepare the Distinguished Visiting Chef Series Dinner on Saturday, Oct. 12, at Pennsylvania College of Technology.
