A speaker gifted in his ability to discuss complex biology in engaging terms will be the next presenter in Pennsylvania College of Technology's William C. Butler Lecture Series. Robert Sylwester, an emeritus professor of education at the University of Oregon, will present a public lecture at 7 p.m. March 14 in the Klump Academic Center Auditorium.
Pennsylvania College of Technology will host its spring Visiting Chef Series Feb. 23-25, welcoming Walter Staib, accomplished chef and proprietor of City Tavern in Philadelphia. While at the college, Staib will work alongside students, sharing his expertise as they prepare a benefit dinner on Saturday, Feb. 25, that will conclude the stay.

The Gallery at Penn College on the main campus of Pennsylvania College of Technology will host "Schemata," a collection of mixed-media artwork by Gretchen Moyer, from Jan. 17 to Feb. 10. An opening reception will take place Tuesday, Jan. 17, from 3:30 to 6 p.m., with an artist's talk at 4 p.m.
More than 800 regional high school students and chapter advisers from 13 area middle and senior high schools converged Jan. 4 on the Pennsylvania College of Technology campus to compete in the Region 7 Future Business Leaders of America Conference. Penn College's School of Business and Computer Technologies again hosted the annual event in cooperation with the college's Outreach for K-12 Office.
