By Juli Reppert, student writer/photographer The third and final presentation in this semester's "My Last Words" series at Pennsylvania College of Technology will be offered April 11, when Chef Michael J. Ditchfield, instructor of food and hospitality management/culinary arts, discusses the importance of becoming involved in school and in the community.

James Rhem, a scholar on the role of faculty, will be the fourth speaker in the William C. Butler Lecture Series, which continues April 20 at Pennsylvania College of Technology. Rhem will offer an informative and entertaining presentation on "The Teacher in the Movies," focusing on how teachers and scholars are portrayed in popular cinema.

Penn College's Student Government Association held its first "Legacy Dinner" on Saturday night, a gathering of ExecutiveBoard membersfrom almost every academic year since 1996-97. Sabrena A. O'Keefe, SGA president, said the idea came from a national conference attended by the current board.

The Central Susquehanna Association for the Education of Young Children will hold its 11th annual conference April 8 at Pennsylvania College of Technology's Klump Academic Center. Leanne Grace and Gerry Hart of Rainbow Hill School in Shickshinny will offer a keynote address, after which participants may choose from 30 workshop sessions.

On March 25, Penn College held induction ceremonies for the Alpha Chi and Phi Theta Kappa honor societies and honored Veronica M. Muzic, vice president for academic affairs/provost, for her service to Alpha Chi. More than 70 students accepted invitations to join Phi Theta Kappa, an international honor society for students enrolled in associate-degree programs.

As part of the Central Pennsylvania Section of the American Association of Physics Teachers annual conference to be held at Pennsylvania College of Technology, physicist B. Atalay will offer a keynote address at 8 p.m. Friday, April 7, in the Klump Academic Center Auditorium.

By Juli Reppert, student writer/photographer Whether on stage or in the audience, you can be a part of the first student-organized College Town Open Mic Night, to be held April 7 at the Community Arts Center in downtown Williamsport. The event will take place from 7:30 to 10:30 p.m. as part of Williamsport's First Friday festivities.

The Gallery at Penn College on the main campus of Pennsylvania College of Technology will host "Bearing Water: Prints and Drawings," a collection by Rosemarie Bernardi, from April 4-28. An opening reception will take place from 3:30 to 6 p.m. on Tuesday, April 4, with an artist's talk at 4 p.m.

More than 100 employers have registered for Spring 2006 Career Expo at Pennsylvania College of Technology a major networking event for students seeking full-time positions or cooperative-education opportunities. This semester's Career Expo will be held from 12:30 to 4:30 p.m. Tuesday, March 21, at the Field House on Penn College's main campus.
