In celebration of Children's Authors and Illustrators Week, youngsters from the Children's Learning Center at Penn College visited The Madigan Library for story time between 9:30-10:30 a.m. Feb. 1-4. A total of 46 children, ranging in age from 18 months to 5 years, listened and interacted enthusiastically as Nicole S. Staron, library circulation assistant, and Blair E.

Garden Views examines formal gardening traditions in the Eastern and Western hemispheres.
A "Cure the Blues Jazz Fest," among Black History Month activities at Pennsylvania College of Technology, will be held from 2 to 9 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 20, in the Field House on the college's main campus in Williamsport.
Penn College baking and pastry arts students will help provide the goodies for the Williamsport Civic Chorus' "Coffee and Dessert" concert to be held Saturday, Feb. 13, at Park Place, 800 W. Fourth St. The concert will feature songs about coffee and desserts, as well as appropriately coffee and wonderful desserts from the collegeand sixother local vendors.

Nearly 150 pints of blood were collected at the Jan. 20 Red Cross Bloodmobile in Penn's Inn short of expectations, but, as every pint goes toward saving another life, a worthy effort nonetheless. Student and faculty/staff donors contributed 147 pints (135 whole-blood donations and 12 pints through the double-red-cell process) in the daylong visit. The next campus Bloodmobile will be April 28.
