The Gallery at Penn College, on the third floor of Madigan Library, officially opened "Likeness of a Likeness," an exhibit by artist Mark Khaisman, with aseries of events this week. The gallery hosted a gallery talk and Meet the Artist reception with Khaisman from 4:30-6:30 p.m. Tuesday, with artist's comments at 5:30. The gallery is open from 1-4 p.m. Saturday and Sunday; 2-8 p.m.

Lonise P. Bias, a motivational speaker spurred to community activism by the tragic deaths of her sons including Len, a University of Maryland basketball player who died shortly after being drafted by the Boston Celtics aimed a beacon of optimism, triumph and self-esteem at her Penn College audience Monday night.

On Sunday, Jan. 16, Penn College kicked off the return of wrestling with a full day of related activities. The Wildcats' "Wrestling Day" included a clinic with guest clinician Mark McKnight, a Pennsylvania State University resident athlete, followed by an intrasquad meet.

The Gallery at Penn College and the Student Activities Office are co-hosting the band, Electric Volcano Experiment, on Jan. 20. The band will play from 7:30 to 8:30 p.m. in the gallery, on the third floor of Madigan Library, which will be transformed into a music nightclub including "mocktails" for this special event.

Healthy Weight Week will be observed at Penn College from Jan. 17-21, offering many educational and entertaining events that provide information about achieving and maintaining a healthy weight and lifestyle.
