Pennsylvania College of Technology will hold an Open House on Saturday, March 26, offering prospective students, their families and friends an opportunity to explore academic programs, student life, and the college's campus and facilities. The event will be offered from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m.

The cast and crew of a theatrical comedy at Pennsylvania College of Technology that was rescheduled from fall are set to entertain the community. "Run for Your Wife," Ray Cooney's farce about a London cab driver who has two lives, two wives and a very precise schedule to keep it all straight! will be presented at 7:30 p.m. March 31 and April 1-2 in the Klump Academic Center Auditorium.

Industry employees from far and wide converged in Penn College's Plastics Manufacturing Center on Tuesday and Wednesday, as the Rotational Molding Center of Excellence held its third hands-on workshop. A renowned technical resource, the course blends classroom training with practical experience on top-level machinery in the Breuder Advanced Technology and Health Sciences Center.

Photo gallery The winners have been announced in an annual cake competition held at Pennsylvania College of Technology. The competition featured students in an advanced cake-decorating class taught by Suzann L. Major, assistant professor of hospitality management/culinary arts.

Their chosen arena is more Hospitality than Hogwarts, but a baker's dozen of Penn College students proved themselves wizards all the same in designing cakes inspired by the Harry Potter books and movies.

Community volunteers and Pennsylvania College of Technology students and faculty treated 37 children on Feb. 5 as part of the Pennsylvania Dental Hygienists' Association's statewide Sealant Saturday initiative.

Congratulations to Brett A. Reasner, assistant dean of natural resources management, and daughter Samantha for winning the One College Club's inaugural Chili Cook-Off at Le Jeune Chef Restaurant on Tuesday evening. Their winning recipe, Hunter's Chili, was a delectable combination of ground venison and hot Italian sausage with whole peeled tomatoes, black beans and chipotle peppers.

Twenty-six Penn College employees and students, the latest class of Awesome Women Exemplars nominated by their appreciative peers, were recognized Tuesday during an evening reception in the Thompson Professional Development Center's Mountain Laurel Room.

The well-appointed welding labs of Penn College's Avco-Lycoming Metal Trades Center were the venue for Friday's annual American Welding Society competition involving 20 students from the college's School of Industrial and Engineering Technologies and five each from Columbia Montour Area Vocational-Technical School, SUN Area Technical School and Williamsport Area High School.
