Students from five colleges and universities convened at Penn College on March 30 for the second annual Collaborative Care Conference. The group of 82 students and 15 facilitators representing a wide range of health occupations explored how health care providers can best serve underserved and vulnerable populations.

A "No Child Left Inside" workshop, sponsored by the Pennsylvania Association of Environmental Educators, will be held from 9 a.m.-4 p.m. Saturday at Penn College's Schneebeli Earth Science Center. Brian M. McKeon, department head for natural sciences in Penn College's School of Integrated Studies,returns to the Community Theatre League stage as"Mack" in "A Family Plot," which begins a two-week run Friday at the 100 W. Third St. venue.

Several Penn College departments visited the STEM Fair at Park Forest Middle School in State College on March 16. The fair provides an opportunity for sixth-, seventh- and eighth-grade students to engage in activities and presentations that convey that science, technology, engineering and math are viable and real career paths they can take.

A gallery talk and artist's reception were held at Penn College on Thursday in conjunction with "Paintings," a series of "hyperrealistic" New York City street scenes by Denis Peterson. The exhibit, at The Gallery at Penn College on the third floor of Madigan Library, will run through April 20. The gallery is open 1-4 p.m. Saturday and Sunday; 2-8 p.m. Tuesday and Thursday; and 11 a.m.-5 p.m.

A talent show emceed by Xclusive, whose robotic dancing was a hit during the 2008 season of "America's Got Talent" gave Penn College students the opportunity to share their gifts Thursday night and win a share of the cash prizes. The event, held in Penn's Inn, was sponsored by the Wildcat Events Board.
