The Office of Residence Life is pleased to announce the new Senior Resident Assistant and Resident Assistant staff for the 2010-11 academic year. The office is especially excited, as its student staff is expanding with theopening of Dauphin Hall in Fall 2010. Congratulations to new and returning staff!

On Tuesday afternoon, the Penn College Resident Assistants hosted a Spring Fair at the Campbell Street Community Center. RAs conducted activities that included face-painting, duck pond, bowling, hula-hoop contest, treat walk, coloring table, Play-Doh table, egg-dyeing, ball toss and more. The event was open to the public and drew a number of participants from the community.

The International Programs Office, Cultural Life Committee and Multicultural Society hosted a student reception from 5-8 p.m. March 16 in Penn's Inn. The reception was held to gather international students, students from the Multicultural Society and others in the campus community who are involved in programs that support Penn College students from other countries.

Pennsylvania College of Technology's Plastics Manufacturing Center, in conjunction with the Plastics and Polymer Technology Department at the college, will host a grand opening for its Thermoforming Center of Excellence on April 7, marking the completion of nearly two years of renovating and equipping the new state-of-the-art plastics program facility.

RA of the Month Megan Pennington, a graphic design major from Baltimore, was honored as RA of the Month for contributions to the department and her ability to balance multiple roles as student, RA, and campus leader.

Pennsylvania College of Technology's Student Government Association invites the Williamsport community to its Silent Auction from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. Wednesday, April 7, in Penn's Inn, located on the second floor of the Bush Campus Center. Items up for bid include packages, artwork, services and various other donations from community businesses and Penn College students, faculty and staff.

Terry A. Girdon, professor of management and business administration department head at Pennsylvania College of Technology, has been elected to a three-year term on the International Assembly for Collegiate Business Education Board of Directors.

Students from Pennsylvania College of Technology and four other institutions will compete when the Mid-Atlantic Intercollegiate Woodsmen's Meet returns to the college's Schneebeli Earth Science Center on April 17. Participants will compete in a dozen event categories from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m., including archery, ax throw, crosscut saw, log roll, pulp toss, pole fell, chain saw and speed chop.
