Chef Paul Mach, assistant professor of hospitality management/culinary arts and co-host of the Penn College/WVIA television series “You’re the Chef,” recently helped kick off a thematic unit on restaurants for fifth-grade students at Rommelt Elementary School in South Williamsport.

For the fourth year in a row, Pennsylvania College of Technology has won the Penn State University Athletic Conference Chancellor’s Cup. Penn College is the only school to ever hold it since its inception in 2009. The cup is awarded to a member institution with the most accumulated points for the year. Points are awarded based on finish of each conference team.

Students and professional staff of Le Jeune Chef Restaurant planted the restaurant’s vegetable garden – and added plants to its herb garden – on Wednesday: a total of 92, from a variety of tomatoes and peppers, to cabbage, eggplant and squash.
