Alumnus Shawn Sidey, who graduated in 1996 with degrees in food and hospitality management and in culinary arts, returned to campus Monday to present to classes in the School of Hospitality. Sidey, roasting supervisor for the Starbucks plant in York, offered demonstrations and coffee tastings and talked with students about Starbucks, his work there and how his career has progressed.
Penn College sophomore Amanda N. Baney, of Williamsport, was named the United States Collegiate Athletic Association's softball Player of the Week. Baney led the Lady Wildcats to a 2-0 week, hitting .571 (4 for 7) with two home runs and six RBIs. She had a slugging percentage of 1.429 and an on-base percentage of .625.

After its first team competition of the season a week ago at the U.S. Indoor East Regional in Harrisonburg, Va., the Pennsylvania College of Technology archery team established itself as one of if not the best in the nation this year.
