Pennsylvania College of Technology faculty member Nancy A. Grausam was a co-presenter during a Feb. 4 webinar for postsecondary early childhood education faculty.

Graphic design students had the opportunity Thursday to ask questions about the job search and how the "real world" looks for young graphic design graduates through a Skype conference with 2006 Penn College alumnus Austin Hoyt.

The Student Government Association at Pennsylvania College of Technology will hold its annual Silent Auction on April 6 to benefit a student-initiated scholarship fund that rewards campus involvement and leadership. The public is invited to view the sale items from noon to 4 p.m.

The Penn State University Athletic Conference named Penn College junior Leroy Joiner (Williamsport) as its men's basketball Player of the Year. The honor is voted on by all the PSUAC coaches. Joiner led the Wildcats in scoring and rebounding, averaging 21.5 points and 11.7 rebounds. He also was named a United States Collegiate Athletic Association All-American for the third straight year.

Penn College sophomore Kierstin Steer (South Williamsport) and freshman Tosha Stover (Bellefonte) earned Penn State University Athletic Conference women's basketball honors Thursday. Steer was named an All-Conference selection, while Stover was an honorable mention. The All-Conference team is comprised of top players from the PSUAC voted on by conference officials.

Students from five colleges and universities convened at Penn College on March 30 for the second annual Collaborative Care Conference. The group of 82 students and 15 facilitators representing a wide range of health occupations explored how health care providers can best serve underserved and vulnerable populations.

Junior Danny Wido is featured in the Faces in the Crowd section of the April 4 issue of Sports Illustrated. Wido, of Shickshinny, is a two-time national collegiate men's compound champion and, in September, represented the college at the World University Archery Championships in Shenzhen, China, where he won a team gold medal and an individual silver medal.

A "No Child Left Inside" workshop, sponsored by the Pennsylvania Association of Environmental Educators, will be held from 9 a.m.-4 p.m. Saturday at Penn College's Schneebeli Earth Science Center.
