Penn College representatives this week received a solemn memento from the family of Marine Lance Cpl. Abram L. Howard, who was killed in July while on duty in Afghanistan. His mother, Constance, presented the college with a photo of the large American flag which normally flies near the Student and Administrative Services Center that was displayed atthe serviceman's funeral and burial.

The Pennsylvania College of Technology Board of Directors on Thursday approved Residence Life and Dining Services rates for Fiscal Year 2012. The board approved a proposal in which standard rates for seven different room types each will increase by 3 percent for 2011-12.
Pennsylvania College of Technology announced the winners of its annual Food Show, which included a chocolate house auction that raised $1,600 for the Greater Lycoming Habitat for Humanity. The Food Show included about 80 entries from students in seven advanced culinary arts and baking and pastry arts courses, and all seven courses were judged by culinary arts professionals from across the region.
