Four members of Residence Life's Automotive LLC, still smiling on their 1 a.m. return from a Harrisburg adventure. Five graphic design students at Pennsylvania College of Technology have earned Student American Advertising Awards from the American Advertising Federation of Northeast Pennsylvania. In an impressive showing, the Penn College students captured four of six gold awards and six of eight silver awards. They were honored at the association’s annual awards banquet, held Feb.

The first time Stone Skinkle-Howard set foot on Pennsylvania College of Technology’s campus, the Texan didn’t think to bring a coat. The unforgiving temperatures on that brisk March day in 2014 made him regret the oversight but not the visit. The prospective welding student quickly discovered that the college met his high expectations.

Christopher S. Kasler has been keeping busy balancing a full-time job as the general manager of Moe’s Southwest Grill in Williamsport while working to complete his culinary arts and systems degree at Pennsylvania College of Technology. The Kendall Park, New Jersey, native says he splits his time evenly, but school comes first. “My work schedule revolves around my class schedule,” Kasler explains.
