On Tuesday, Sept. 25, Harry Rundall, senior territory sales manager for Fluke Networks, will bring some of the latest technology in enterprise performance management to Pennsylvania College of Technology students. The event, hosted by the college's Cisco Networking Academy from 3:30 to 5 p.m.

Pennsylvania College of Technology's 2007-08 "Personal Responsibility Tour" will kick off Sept. 10-14 with Alcohol Awareness Week.

The second annual Fall FIESTA (Friends, Involvement, Employment& Socializing on a Thursday Afternoon)introduced students tocampus organizations, college offices and nonprofit agencies with information,jobs and volunteer opportunities.

The American Red Cross and Student Health Services were "very proud of the Penn College community"for the response at Wednesday's Bloodmobile in the Bush Campus Center, where 177 pints were collected exceeding the 130-pint goal. There were 63 first-time donors, and every pint goes toward saving another life. This drive certainly will help during this time of low blood supplies across the region.

An official attendance of 2,894 fans were in the stands of Historic Bowman Field for Thursday's Penn College "Pack the Park Night." The Crosscutters, Williamsport's own minor league baseball team and affiliate of the Philadelphia Phillies, delivered a 5-1 victory over the Jamestown Jammers.

The Gallery at Penn College, on the third floor of Pennsylvania College of Technology's Madigan Library, will host "Object and Figure," an exhibit of paintings by Jason Godeke, from Sept. 9 to Oct. 2. An opening reception for the exhibit will take place Tuesday, Sept. 11, from 4:30 to 7 p.m., with a gallery talk scheduled at 5:30 p.m.

Thursday's 'Wildcat House Party' offered students a playful blend of food, music and giveaways to soften the rigors of the opening week of Fall 2007 classes. The Residence Hall Association, Student Government Association and Wildcat Events Board jointly sponsored the event at the Field House, which was preceded by a fireworks display rescheduled from Sunday. A group of 47 Boston-area teens toured Pennsylvania College of Technology on Aug. 1-2 as part of their participation in Camp Coca-Cola, a year-round youth-development program. Camp Coca-Cola operates in five metropolitan areas thus far, and participants visiting Penn College are part of Camp Coca-Cola New England.

Fifteen high school students from Pennsylvania and Maryland, each nominated by his or her graphic arts instructor, attended Pennsylvania College of Technology's first Media Arts Summer Exposure − an intense three days of workshops focused on video production, radio broadcasting, graphic design and graphic communications.

"Welcome Weekend," a two-day get-acquainted program for new Penn College students, began Saturday morning. Blue-shirted students, faculty and staff were on hand across campus to make it easier for students to say "hello" to their new surroundings (and less-traumatic for parents to say "goodbye for now").
