The School of Business and Computer Technologies' observance of National Cyber Security Awareness Month continued with an informative presentation "Forensic Accounting: White-Collar Crime and Financially Motivated Crimes" in the SASC presentation room Thursday afternoon. Special Agent Annmarie M.

Due to the great success of last year's Donkey Basketball event during Homecoming, and thanks to overwhelming response from the Penn College community, Donkey Basketball is coming back. As part ofthe college's2007 Homecoming celebration, Donkey Basketball will be heldat 8 p.m.Thursday, Oct. 11, in Bardo Gym. Donkey riders are needed. The teams will be faculty/staff vs. students.

The Gallery at Penn College, on the third floor of Pennsylvania College of Technology's Madigan Library, will host "Interwoven Dialogues," an exhibit of paintings by Florence Putterman, of Selinsgrove, from Oct. 9 to Nov. 4. An opening reception for the exhibit will take place Tuesday, Oct. 9, from 4:30 to 7 p.m., with a gallery talk scheduled at 5:30 p.m. (The gallery will open at 2 p.m.

Penn College's Schools of Construction and Design Technologies and Natural Resources Management were well-represented at Connecticut Construction Career Days , held Oct. 2-3 at Mountainridge in Wallingford, Conn. The goal of the program is to heighten student awareness of careers in the construction industry and to help replenish the supply of skilled construction professionals.

Pennsylvania College of Technology, a special mission affiliate of The Pennsylvania State University, will hold an Open House on Sunday, Oct. 28, providing visitors with an excellent opportunity to learn more about the college, its academic majors and its facilities. The event will be offered from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m.

"Hiding in Plain Sight," part of Penn College's observance of National Cyber Security Awareness Month, was held Tuesday afternoon in the PDC's Mountain Laurel Room. The rapid evolution of malicious software whether used for concealing data, destroying data, unauthorized access or identity theft is affecting business operations around the globe.

The 2007 Homecoming celebration at Pennsylvania College of Technology will feature two events in which the public is invited to participate: Donkey Basketball on Thursday, Oct. 11, and the Penn College Homecoming Car Show on Saturday, Oct. 13.

On Thursday, Oct. 11, the Cisco Networking Academy at Penn College will host the Cisco Systems Network On Wheels (NOW), sponsored by NEC Unified Solutions, Inc. The Cisco NOW is a 25-foot van equipped with the latest Cisco networking technologies. This unique showcase provides hands-on demonstrations of proven integrated networking solutions that are customizable to any business size and needs.

On Sept. 29 and 30, Penn College's catering class will again provide food at the annual Gourmet Harvest Festival at Hunt Country Vineyards in Branchport, N.Y., on the western flank of Keuka Lake. The students will be accompanied by chefs Michael J. Ditchfield, the catering class instructor, and Monica J. Lanczak and Paul Mach, who will offer cooking demonstrations.

The older preschool classes at the Children's Learning Center recently celebrated Grandparents Day by inviting the grandparents to spend the morning with their grandchildren. They shared stories, sang songs and made bookmarks together. After celebrating Grandparents Day, the staff also invited each of the grandparents to return as a guest reader. Photos by Regina G.
