Photo gallery "tick, tick "¦BOOM!" an autobiographical musical by Jonathan Larson, the creator of "Rent" will be performed by Pennsylvania College of Technology students at 7:30 p.m. Nov. 7-8 in the Klump Academic Center Auditorium. Wednesday's Bloodmobile visit, part of the American Red Cross' "No Bones About It!" campaign, was the most successful in Penn College history. Caring faculty, staff and students showed the true giving nature of those on campus, said Carl L. Shaner, student health services director.
The Gallery at Penn College, on the third floor of Pennsylvania College of Technology's Madigan Library, will host "," a collection of paintings by Brian Bishop, from Oct. 26 to Nov. 21. More than 170 employers were on hand at Penn College's Career Expo on Tuesday, offering students a close-up opportunity to say "Hello" to their potential tomorrows. "Another triumphant Career Expo!" said Erin Shultz, the college's coordinator of career development. "We had 173 employers registered, breaking last fall's record of 165.
Nearly 1,800 students (and more than 230 chaperones) from41 schools participated in Friday's Career Day activities on Penn College's campuses. During the past few years, the issue of students' mental health has become a hot topic on college campuses nationwide. More and more students seem to be struggling with depression and anxiety disorders.
An innovator and leader in the science of food and flavor will visit Pennsylvania College of Technology's campus in November as part of the School of Hospitality's Visiting Chef Series. During his stay, Chef Steven Schimoler, owner and chef of Crop Bistro & Bar in Cleveland, will mentor students as they prepare the Visiting Chef Dinner, to be served Friday, Nov. 7, to benefit scholarship funds.
Throughout Homecoming Week students, faculty and staff voted for their favorite Homecoming Court candidate by depositing money in that person's jar. The competition was fierce, according to the Student Activities Office, but the winners emerged. The 2008 Homecoming King and Queen are Dean Dietrich from the Horticulture Club and Anna-Marie Manciet from the Association of Computer Machinery.

Inspirational tribute and tearful remembrance filled Klump Academic Center on Tuesday, as the semester's first program in the "My Last Words" lecture series renamed in honor of the late David A. London drew hundreds of people to the building's auditorium. London, an associate professor of speech communication/composition, died May 3.
