Wednesday's Student Government Association Silent Auction raised more than $3,000 for the Student Leadership Legacy Scholarship Fund better than triple the goal for the event. "I cannot express in words how happy, excited and thankful I am for all of your support," SGA President Brian D.
The Student Government Association held a Silent Auction at Penn's Inn (CC, second floor) Wednesday. Open bidding was from noon-6 p.m. Light refreshments were served at 5 p.m.; winning bids were announced at 7 p.m. Auction items ranged from unique student work, other one-of-a-kind items, and services from organizations and small businesses in the surrounding community.
Tuesday's "Party With the Wildcats" event was a winner, with more than 200 people meeting the players and coaches of the spring sports. "There was a lot of fun, with each sport having a game to play, and people had a chance to go in the money booth and grab up to $50," said Lisa J. Worth, athletic assistant, noting other prizes were awarded throughout the evening.

Despite a number of challenges – unification of main-campus and Schneebeli Earth Science Center events. a change in location, extended hours and a first-ever expanded two-day format – this year's Spring Career Fair (March 24-25) has been termed a success. Career Services logged a total check-in of 1,169 students at both sites over both days, with 975 attending at least one day.

She spokeof her opposing views and why she chose never to claim his last name.
An opening reception, artist's lecture and gallery talk were held Thursday for "Transcendence," the current exhibit on the third floor of Madigan Library. The collection of photographs by Nick Johnson is on display through April 9 in The Gallery at Penn College. Hours are 1-4 p.m. Saturday and Sunday; 2-8 p.m. Tuesday and Thursday, and 11 a.m.-5 p.m. Wednesday and Friday.
Pennsylvania College of Technology will host a Secondary and Postsecondary Welding Educators Summit on April 6 to discuss a variety of issues in welding education in Pennsylvania. The event, scheduled from 9:30 a.m. to 3 p.m.
Pennsylvania College of Technology has scheduled an April 14 reception to honor current and former students, alumni, faculty and staff serving in the armed forces. During the event, which will be held from 3:30 to 5 p.m.
Penn College inducted its fourth group of Awesome Women Exemplars this week, honoring employees and students for their inspirational presence on campus. In accordance with this year's theme, "Women Taking the Lead in Saving the World," all students, faculty and staff were encouraged to nominate any Penn College female they admire.
