More than 700 riders took to the trails at Pennsylvania College of Technology’s Schneebeli Earth Science Center for the Pennsylvania Interscholastic Cycling League’s youth mountain bike race.

The Pennsylvania Interscholastic Cycling League will bring its high-energy youth mountain bike racing back to Pennsylvania College of Technology’s Schneebeli Earth Science Center, across from White Deer Golf Course off of Route 15. The two-day competition – Playin’ at Penn College – is slated for Sept. 6 and 7 and is expected to draw more than 1,400 student-athletes, families and fans.

The Gallery at Penn College is pleased to feature internationally acclaimed artist Taha Ahmad in its 2025-2026 season opening. “Drawn into two, which way home?” implores visitors to consider the ways in which the trauma and displacement of the 1947 partition of India and Pakistan can be used to foster a deeper understanding of the human race.

Alumni of Penn College and its predecessor institutions cruised the sun-dappled Susquehanna on the Hiawatha Paddlewheel Riverboat on Friday during an event hosted by Alumni Relations.

Penn College’s Summer 2025 Commencement, held Saturday at the Journey Bank Community Arts Center, welcomed the college’s newest graduates. The student speaker was Whendy E. Marshall-Magallon, of York, who received a combined Bachelor/Master of Science degree in physician assistant studies.

Pennsylvania College of Technology has presented student achievement awards to its Summer 2025 graduates. Commencement ceremonies were held Aug. 9 at the Journey Bank Community Arts Center, Williamsport. Penn College is a special mission affiliate of Penn State.

More than 140 students have petitioned to graduate from Pennsylvania College of Technology following the Summer 2025 sessions. A commencement ceremony will be held at 11 a.m. on Saturday, Aug. 9, at the Journey Bank Community Arts Center, with 89 students expected to march in the proceedings.

Penn College hosted more than 300 entrepreneurial high school students on campus during a session of the Foundation for Free Enterprise Education’s Pennsylvania Free Enterprise Week. PFEW immerses high schoolers in the world of business.

While most college campuses are known to slow down during the summer, Penn College’s labs were bustling last week as 11 summer camps brought high school students to the college for a hands-on exploration of careers and college life. More than 200 high schoolers from 10 states – and Vietnam – attended.

Penn College welcomed 461 prospective undergraduate and graduate students for its Summer Open House on Saturday. The day offered visitors and guests an opportunity to visit the college’s highly equipped labs and chat with faculty and students about their potential futures as Penn College tomorrow makers.
